Today my right turn signal was clicking really fast; only the right the left seemed totally normal. I remember seeing this a while back but cant remember how to fix. Thanks for the help.

Could also be the bulb holder thats no longer making contact with the bulb -

My Disco does the same thing. It only happens on really hot days though. I haven't tried to fix it yet, but I'd follow the earlier suggestions.

Hello T,

The suggestions are all correct. Either a bulb is burned out, or their is a bad conection. All cars work this way. When a bulb burns out, it changes the resistance in the circuit and causes the flasher unit to increase its flash speed. Its just a matter of how electrical circuits work...

My right rear brake light (red) on my 95 Disco is out, but turns on when the lights are on at night. I am going to replace the bulb. However the blinkers aren't flashing fast like they should when they are out.

That's because your brake light bulb is a dual-filament bulb. The high-watt filament (brake light) is burnt out, leaving the low-watt filament (running light) fine. The turn signal is a different bulb, a little single-filament 21-watt bulb down in the bumper.

Thanks Jon. I learn something new everytime I visit this board.

Hey no problem. A lot of people ask me about the same thing and get very worried very quickly about needing an expensive wiring repair. Needless to say, they're happy to find it's only a $0.75 bulb :)

After unplugging the red break lamps from the rear bumper, the turning signal flashed faster. It looks high speed like them rice-eating speeders driving civics.

I had the same problem with my left front signal, but my situation was really bad. Water got in the cluster(no idea how) and I had to replace the whole thing for $50.
