I am sorry about posting with a bunch of questions recently, but i just got my first Discovery, and this site is like a gold-mine. I get the best advice here - I am totally reliant on you guys for everything (well, I do have the Haynes repair manual, but it is kind of lacking in the trouble-shooting department.) Anyway - here is the latest dilemna:

Today we had the first big rain of hurricane season (not a hurricane, but there will be some coming) - when I got in my truck after the rain, there was a significant amount of water on the front passenger side floor board. The area just above it, under the dash was wet to the touch. Is this a common problem? Where should I begin when I look to seal this?

Thanks for all your help.

-Marc

I just read the similar post of late. My water was not hot and does not seem to be A/C related. It did rain VERY hard, and that seems to be the origin of the water. Possibly the kit from the dealer is a solution? What does this kit include? I would really like to nip this in the bud before it causes real problems.

I had the same problem with my disco II. Turned out to be a poor seal on the windsheild. Dealer I bought it from replaced the windsheild, after I pointed out the problem. I have not had a leak since. Now I am not saying this could be your problem. My proof was when I hit the brakes and all the water gathered in the rails ran forward and into the cab through the front seal, saturating the headliner, dash and passenger floorboard.
