Hello all, after trying to deal with Toyota about a recurring head gasket problem, and getting nowhere, we dumped it and picked up a 98 Discovery. After driving it for a couple of weeks (and LOVING it), we noticed it leans to the right. Not so you'd notice, some fairly precise measurements said about an inch and a half lower on the passenger side. Granted, this is with no one in the car, with just a driver, levels right out. Is this designed into it? Carfax checked out on this car, and a thorough inspection carried out by an independent mechanic both before and after noticing the lean. At this point I'm not too worried, just curious. Thanks for any info.

Kit: Congrats on the purchase- Sounds like you plan on doing much better than you were with the toy. Please take a moment to track down your local club - and join them. www.bsroa.com has a good number of US clubs listed -

The Discoveries have shorter springs on the passenger side. The British want the car to be level when there is a driver in the car, instead of when it's sitting there. The springs on a 98 should still be ok.
