at first it would only come on down hill braking hard now it stays on.. how do I adjust the cable
to make this go away?? and is it hurting anything driving like this? is the brake really draggin as I can't feel it.

it may just be a loose connection for the warning light. i have a 98 disco and had the same problem. the light would come on intermittently and go off when ever it felt like. you could probably chalk that up to the wonderful electrical engineers at lucas. i was lucky as my car is still under warrenty and the dealer fixed it for free, i'm sure it's just a loose wiring connection inside the console near the handbrake. should be an easy fix. good luck.
