The soleniod is out but still no low range. I laid it between the seats, started the beast, foot on brake, gear selector in neutral, and I still can't put it in low gear. The soleniod did not do a thing, no movement. Is it suppose to move? The transfer case still won't even go in neutral. Anyone ever have this problem before?

And the linkage is all free moving? If its the solonoid then it should work when youremove it. Do you have the truck running in neutral?

It is in neutral and running. The linkage has a little play in it(1/8of an inch). Should I take the linkage off to see if it will move freely?

Yeah , and I would lube it all up. All you can really do is make sure that everything external is working like it should. There is also the swith for the light. I think it can be in too far causing it to no lock... but that just for the locking side of it...

I will do that. I have to put the soleniod back in so i can drive to work anyway. I'll let you know how it ends. Thanks Kyle.
