I've read past posts, and I fear that a new ignition switch assembly may be in my future...

The problem: When I turn my key past the middle accessory setting to turn the engine over, sometimes it gets stuck at the turn-over setting and doesn't fall back to the middle setting.

The solution: I plan on lubing the hell out of the switch assembly tonight (squirting lube into keyhole), but can anyone offer me any other advice?

P.S. This isn't a big deal for me, personally, as I can be careful to manually back the key off, but I can't assume that my wife will have the same attention to detail. Leaving the starter cranked and driving off cannot be good!

SOLD while I was in Florida... Now I'm back on the hunt for a nice 1995 Classic LWB for the wife. I think I'll just keep on keepin on with my modified 96 Disco. Drove a nice 95 @ LR Scottsdale yesterday. They always seem to have one in stock, or they can get one quickly. I'll be in the market for one at the end of the year. They slap a sticker of $19,900 on all of them (with 60-85k miles). Kelly Blue Book says $21k+/-, but $19,900 still seems high (even with certified 12 month/12k miles dealer warranty). I'm thinking about $15k. When I'm ready to get serious, I'll run vin #'s by you. OK? Thanks.

Bill just brake down and buy her one of those 98's or 99's. Tell them I sent you! My Disco and I spend enough time there. In fact I just picked it up again today. Looking for some 4 wheel drive stuff to test everything out again. You up for any this month?

Yes I am. Weekend of July 20th? Not yet sure what I'll be doing that weekend, but it will involve 4X4 and camping. Will be in San Diego July 17-19 and was thinking about staying out there, but I just learned that I have to be in Phx afternoon of the 19th...

Some friends and I were thinking about running up to Four Peaks, or Lake Pleasant to Jerome via Crown King and Prescott (back "roads" all the way), or maybe Flagstaff (if it's not all burned to the ground), or who knows what...let me know what you think.
