Wondering if any of you guys have installed a gun rack in your DI. If so where? What brand?

Redneck checking in here... I have the mesh dog guard (bearmach I think) I got shipped from the UK from Mansfield Motors. I've since added a gun rack (also from mansfield) that is designed for use with the mesh type. Makes the dog guard a bit "heavy." If I had to do it again and I suppose I do, I'd mount one to the interior of the rear door or behind the seats. I usually carry shotguns broken down and in their cases. Fishing gear can be suspended from the alpine windows and along the roof line on the inside, just watch out for those hanging spinner baits and Texas rigs...

Land Rover makes a factory gun box for the Disco if you want to go that route. Would imagine it would be expensive though.. Could probably order it from one of the my parts suppliers though for cheaper.

If you removed the plastic sides of the cubbies in the rear of the cargo area, it might be interesting to have a rack that slotted into that....

I've heard of the factory box (and I'm sure you're right that it's exensive), but don't know what it looks like, where it goes, etc.

www.roverconnection.com sells them and they have a picture on their site if you want to look at it. It's under the accessories section for the Disco 1 right above the rim pictures.
