Yesterday someone hit the right door mirror of my Disco 95. The result is that the mirror fall from is place, but nothing appears broken.

What I've to do to fix the mirror in it's place ?

Appreciate some help.

If it came off, it's broken. I found a used one at a wrecking yard. Easy to install.
The plastic triangular piece on the inside of the door pries off and you can see how it installs.

I disagree with T Carr. My wife knocked the mirror off of my 96 and it just popped back together. I believe they have a spring mechanism, for just this very occasion. Play around with it and it should go back together.

yeah most mirrors are designed so that if they hit a small child, garage wall, tree or whatnot they will flip forwards or back. most of the time they don't fall out of place. but when they do they usually can be popped back in. but on rare instances they can break. i did it once on my old j**p. just try jamming that thing back in there. should be fine.

If it feel off though wouldn't the power mirror links be busted? ( well if you had power mirrors ) My 98 has power mirrors but, I don't know if the 95s do.

pretty sure the 95's are power too. my '94 was. but these mirrors are attached from the bottom. if there is anything cracked or broken where it attaches at the bottom you may be SOL. not sure if he meant all the way off and on the ground or dangling from the wires.

Mine was dangling from the wires...only small piece inside broke, but it was history...daughter hit the garage door jamb at about 1 mph.

Sorry for the delay in the conversation, I was out in a place whitout I'net (Yes.. that places exists...), and specially without my Disco.

My problem is still unsolved (I didn't have time to try anything). Perhaps my english is not good enough, but the question I try to put, is that just the "glass" part of the mirror is unattached, all the rest are in the right place. Looking the reverse side of the "glass" noyhing appears broken, neither the place (support) where it should be. How does it attach ?
