I posted this one minute ago. I managed to post it in the waterpump discussion which was not the idea so here I go again...
Sorry
Dear list,
I just had a new experience with my 1996 Disco 300Tdi. The oilpressure warning light comes on sometimes when the engine is idling at 750-800 rpm. It is not on all the time but I can "provoke" it to flash by putting it in reverse or drive and just barely touch the accelerator. I have never seen this in the 50000 km´s I have been driving this car. Oil is 5W-40 synthetic and oil level is ok. What could be the cause? Dare I use the car before I have found the problem? The car is not overheating and today is the warmest day since I bought the car (+29C).
Thanks,
Peter
