My disco is running funny. the fuel pump started moaning and now it idles very low. it feels like its missing when i try to pull off. could a bad fuel pump cause this. when i got a tune up i replaced the plugs,distributor,and fuel filter. The filter was dirty as hell. Im in the process of trading it in and there telling me that i have a bad silinoid. whats the problem here.

Separation anxiety. It knows you're getting rid of it.

Seriously, crap that plugged the filter may have plugged some internal filter in the pump, or damaged surfaces in the pump? Have 'em check the fuel pressure...very easy at the Schrader valve on the fuel rail.
