How do you know if you have the right amount of fluid in your transmission. My depth stick dont have any graduations e.g. low-full. It only says 'may cause damage if overfill'.
What kind of damage if overfill. Anybodys input?

Your transmission dipstick should have two small dimples showing the range the fluid should be in. I was told by Rovers North that the damage that can be caused by overfilling is to the transmission "band" which they explained perform the same function as the clutch in a manual. Be carefull when draining and refilling, because the fluid capacity shown in the manual is the entire transmission including the torque converter. When draining, it does not come out of the torgue converter so you have to be carefull when refilling. Their general recommendation is to put about 6 quarts in and then go very slowly after that and allow it to settle between quarts so you can get an accurate measure. Remember to make the final check with the motor running in neutral after shiifting to drive and then back. Good luck!
