Mike,
I am running Good Year Wrangler ATS 245/75-16's on my '95 Disco. The performance has changed very little. I used a GPS to check the speed variance and found the tires to be right on the money. The tires rub the front suspension slightly in a locked turn and the rear tires catch the rear edge of the wheel opening when the tires go up into the wheelwell. You can probably install some spacers to fix the front rub, but I don't have solution for the rear tires other than a little metal trimming. I have over 50K on the GY's and there is tons of tread left. Road noise is at a minimum and traction is very good. I must admit that I am not a serious off-roader though.
Good luck,
CD

spacers to fix the front rub,

Adjust your steering stops. Takes about 2minutes with 2, 3/4in wrenches

I'm running BFG AT 245/70-16 currently, but am going to 235/85 due to my recently installed lift.
I had them on my stock 97 with absolutely no rubbing, trimming, etc., and they worked great.

I have the 245/75/R16s. They rub a bit in the back due to my long travel suspension. I have the Goodyear Wrangler MT/Rs. With all of the equipment installed (roof rack, lights, bumper, winch, skid plate, etc.) my gas mileage was down around 10.5 mpg. No noticable drop in power over the stock tires and speedo is now only off by 1 mph at 70mph.

Thanks,
Mike B.

Mike B.,
Do you have a U-joint rear shaft or the roto-flex?
