I just got my Disco a week ago and would like to get a CD changer, but when I got to Good Guys and Circuit City, the Techinician told me I can't just get any CD changer and would need an adapter. I have no knowledge or what so ever on this and don't want to spend $700-800 at the dealer just for the changer.

If any of you have any information as to what model, adapter, brackets etc. I would need? The dealer told me the CD changer goes under the passenger seat (look like it doesn't have a lot of space there)

You can purchase any CD changer package on the market with a FM-Modulator have it installed for around $300.00 or less depending on brand. The stock radio in the Disco II is Alpine and LR has already installed the appropriate brackets to mount the unit. Check in the tech section for more info, or Disco2 site.
As I didn't feel that LR deserved $600.00 for the Alpine changer I purchased and installed my own for $250. The advantage to purchasing the LR unit is that the factory radio will interface with the unit and you will be able to control all the CD functions from the radio/steering controls. If your a audiofile then the other consideration is that the quality of the sound will be better with the LR direct interface unit. The FM modulaters always seem to have some quirky noises. Not really noticeable at medium volume. Goodluck.
