On my 98 D1 above the pillar in between the drivers and rear drivers side door there is a plastic lid that snapps into the head liner about two inches up from the pillar on the inside of the truck.. When I pop it open it has a couple of wires with a connecter on them. Any one know what that is for?

Volumetric sensor? What does that read changes in air mass to set of the alarm or is it like a glass break sensor where it works off of noise?

I had an alarm on my old car that put out a radar field around the car that would warn people to not get to close and if they put their arm in the window it would sound the alarm.. But that you had to install in the center of the car inorder for it to work right.

Rangie has volumetric sensor in the same place - it trips the alarm if windows are broken (technically, alarm won't go off is someone breaks window and crawls in - opening the door is what trips alarm). I thought the sensor worked off of pressure differential, not motion detection...

if i move a finger in my rangie the alarm will sound. you don't need to break any glass...but that's only if you "super lock" it....whatever.
