Does anyone have experience with Disco Tire rods... i bent my tie rod (track rod actually) and while contemplating reparing it i stumbled across several scenerios...
SCENERIO 1.
replace the original unit with the same part. dont see any real benifit here except cost... aprox $150. the only problem is that im bound to bend it again without adding a skid plate for $XXX.00
SCENERIO 2.
replace the original unit with the rockware replacement. the aftermarket piece seems to be of a heaver quality. aprox $105 but will it really make a difference if i get hung again... AKA will i still need to buy a skid plate?
SCENERIO 3
buy a "relocation kit" that will make the "setup" like a D90. this is what i really want to know about. has anyone done this?!?! what was the "real" cost. "real" cost as in the grand total after getting all the pieces necessary to do this modification. has your installation lived up to what you expected. so you still find yourself needing a skid plate. did you do it your self or was it so ingrossing that you had to pay someone? etc
thanks

Check out RoverTym (www.rovertym.com). His stuff is 1 1/4" high grade stuff versus the 7/8" stock stuff. Virtually indestructable. Cost is not bad either!
Thanks,
Mike B.
