My 95 Disco with rear air does not currently have tinted windows. The heat is driving me crazy. I feel like I am under a magnifying glass in the sun. My question is: Has anyone had their windows tinted with aftermarket film (ie: not factory tint)? If so, what did the person that did the tinting do about the plexiglass that is on the inside of the driver side alpine window? Also, I am considering having the sunroofs tinted as dark as possible to keep the brightness down. The roller shades are next to useless. Please advise on what some of you have done.
Thanks!

i had them tinted, but left the alpines untinted, that way you still get light, but its not as hot..

We tinted ours 20% all around. It has made tremendous difference. We tinted the windows w/in the first week. We like the privacy but also keeps the a/c from working too hard.

I tinted mine the front window legal limit (whatever that is) on all windows except windshield. It makes a HUGE difference in heat, and I like the idea that the leather, etc. is getting 98% UV protection. Also, it isn't too drastic looking from outside and I actually kinda like the way it looks (although I would think it looks better on darker colored trucks - mine is white-gold)
I found a place that did the entire truck for $200 and that includes a lifetime guarantee against everything but scratches. They did a good job too - no bubbles or anything (they had to do the alpines twice though).

In Jew Jersey, part of the inspection every 2 years is to check that it has tinted glass! So, I am wondering what will happen to my new Disco II when it's time, since it doesn't have tint either!

I have tinted the top 1/3 of the front and rear side windows - makes a huge difference - especially when the sun if going down (or up i guess!) and is at the horizon. Doesn't look bad from the outside. From this inside it took a little getting used to.
