Does the ARB non-airbag winch bumper fit Ok with the RN front skid plate ? Any gotchas during installation ? I already have the RN front skid plate and will be installing the winch bumper soon.

Any installation writeup for the ARB on a Disco series I?

Any input would be appreciated.
Thanks.
Jay

Not sure about the RN plate, but if the mounts are like most others (ie: one bolt front and one rear) - shoould not be a problem. I've got the Gratech plate, and there were no problems - skidplate brackets will fit on the outside of the bumper mount horns. Also, use the supplied 5" bolts in the front-lower holes and not where the directions tell you.
Bumper install is straightforward, just awkward and heavy. Make certain to install all the headlight washer crap in the bumper first as well as all lights, winch ground cable and thermal cutout wire (if applicable) and then put the winch in. Other than that, put all six bolts in finger tight - lift the bumper until it looks/fits right and tighten away. Also - do NOT overtighten the rearmost bolt - the frame is unreinforced at that point, and a 1/2" bolt applies enough force to crush the frame if you're not careful.

Everything is on, but haven't had a chance to play yet - finished it at about 1:30 am the other night. Surprisingly the front end didn't drop much (yet!). Really, really want to try the "God Must Be Crazy" thing though!! :-)
