Can anyone help me out? I would like to get my truck hooked up to a scanner(check engine light/rough idle), but it seems like no one in Chicago has an OBDII scanner for a '98 Disco except for the dealer and my schedule is NOT compatible with theirs(I don't like their rates either, but that's irrelavent). Now I'm reading here about guys discussing their scanner codes...what gives? If you guys can get these things, why not the mechanics? If anyone knows of a shop who has a scanner in Chicago, I'd love to hear from you.
Thanks,
Daniel

I can read the code and reset your check engine light for you. Drop me an email. I'm in Oak Park.

Alex

BTW, anyone should be able to read reset the codes on a 98. It is OBDII compliant.
