I have the same issue with my 97 Disco. Rough idle and check engine light. I got the plug number from the owners manual and the gap and installed Bosh Platinum plugs, purchased at a local chain auto parts store. As for wires I got a set from a local chain store and made my own. I used Accel 8mm plug wires and it only takes a few minutes to build your own. That did not fix the problem. As I have a much more serious issue and have a repair estimate from the dealer for 3000.00. The service manager states that the engines in the Disco have a poorly designed exhaust valve (from the factory) that allows carbon to build in the engine. when this happens the exhaust valves cannot operate properly and the vehicle will run very poorly and the check engine light will come on. To correct the heads have to come off and go to a machine shop and be reworked then replace the bad valves with the new ones that LR has designed to fix the issue. As you are doing your search please send any additional information that you find to me as I am looking into a class action law suite to force LR to recall all vehicles with this issue for repair. This effects 1997-1998 Discos with the 4.0 engine. thanks
