On my 95 Disco, I get a single "clack" sound from the front brakes when I apply them. The pads are in perfect shape and everything works fine. Any ideas?

Paul are the pins and retaining clips that hold the pads in place sitting correctly? Are both slave cylinders expanding evenly when the brake is applied? Also check the metal backing plate behind the brakes and make sure that has not come loose--mine rattled a little

If you are not certain the clack is coming from the brakes, then it could also be driveline or suspension related. Post the question again with more details, if you don't solve the problem.

Loose radius arm bolts will do that as well.

Radius arm? Where's that? A loose bolt sounds easy enough. All the brake components are A-OK.

I've had the same with my 95, and recently repaled rotors and pads. no more clack! Do you have new rotors? MJ

No...old rotors/pads with a lot of meat on 'em. I guess I'll live with it. The radius arm bolts are nice and tight, too.
