Over the past 3 weeks, I've slowly eliminated all leaks! ('95 Disco) To celebrate, I decided to clean the underneath and the engine compartment, dutifully covering the dist., starter etc. Now the check engine light is on, code 45 is coming up (lambda sensor, right side). I'm assuming the wires got wet, I've tried resetting, fiddled with wires, but I'm still getting the code.

What's my next step?

First just check to see if you got water on anything obvious on the sens. or maybe it got pushed out of place.. were you power washing? You can also just let it dry out.. Im sure you shorted it with a bit of water and a little driving will/should dry it out..

let us know..

I didn't power wash, just light stream from the hose. I did it on Saturday, and was thinking the same as you, drove it about 50 miles. Do I continue trying to reset periodically? I suppose if it doesn't go out, I can continuity test the wires, and if I've got power, I guess I have to replace. Any ideas on costs of a lambda sensor?

Nathan Crabtree has them the cheapest I have seen unless you go putting in the Nissan ones, or whatever some have found as replacements.

How do I get in touch with Mr. Crabtree? Do the sensors come with new connecting wires?

If you need an oxygen sensor just e-mail me.

Thanks
