BlueGill -
I finally took the time top figure out this image upload thing, so am posting the pictures of my much bent Soutdown Axle guard. Mostly it is bent back into shape - so damage might be hard to tell in picures. Biggest problem is that the guard is pushed up against the diff - still has some protection due to metal thickness, but takes away some of the effect of a true diff guard.
Still like the design, just not the materials - I'm sure Kyle will want to put it out his "window"

Cool - you've definitely used it! I thought that you had to remove your front sway bar with the guard - obviously you don't. Looks like you're pretty well protected all the way from the bumper back - anything on the rear diff or fuel tank?
P.S. Thank God Southdown provides a cut-out for the harmonic stabilizer thingy

Yeah - it does work with the swaybar (wife still drives the truck - but not anymore - bought a RR classic this weekend !!)
Swaybar is accomodated - it is just a fiddling little job to put it back on and tighten it.
Got some protection it the back - RW frame sliders, RW pinion guard (bent), $G rear diff guard
Amazingly enough - I haven't yet lost the harmonic damper - go figure

Doesn't that act like a shovel in deep mud though? It just looks like it would help keep the axle burried if mud went over top of it.

If you turn it sideways it will fit out the window nicely......

Bill,
Congrats on the "new" RR.
Kyle,
If that thing goes out the window I will be waiting outside to catch it.

In concept, I like the idea, but any bit of clearance your surrender under the axles....
I just have my little dif-guard. At least LR made it nice and keeps them both on the same side.

Kyle,
Feel free to put it out "the window" - at least based on materials
I'm still going to keep it on - and no it has not acted like a shovel yet for me - even in thick-ass mud. If it gets me stuck, it's gone, but until then I'll stand by it.

I have one also. I have gotten stuck in mud because if it, but I think its worth it. I think everyone will agree that as far as axle/diff protection goes, I've yet to see one better.Everybody gets stuck. If you don't, you ain't tryin anything.
