Back on May 13 someone started a thread asking about the Gulf States mesh grill. I never saw that anyone had a LR part number on this. I had spoken with Jonathan Prowse in the UK via e-mail and he had not seen this either.
Someone ran a red light in front of me yesterday and removed the entire front of my nearly new DII. Now we're putting it back together and I would like to consider this mesh grill if anyone can provide details on where to find one.
Thanks

If you go to www.thegearshop.co.uk, then go to part enquiery or e-mail til Mr Jonathan Prowse, he will help you out.
The cost will be approx £200,- (aprox. USD 300,-) + postage. Probably 50% off the US price.

Greg, e-mail me off-list. I have a DSII parts book at home with the number.

the correct term is 'saudi grill' i believe. for a s1 they are about 100 pounds. mansfield have them. since s2 lamps fit an s1 and vice versa, maybe in regard to the front grill it to can go both ways?

nope, the d2 grill is slightly larger. i found an s1 grill from LR Denmark that is a differnet mesh than the D2 saudi grill. i got it from jon prowse a the gearshop in England. its mesh pattern is not as tight as the saudi grill.

Does anyone have a pix of what a saudi grill looks like. I'm interested to see what all the hoopla is about.

Greg, could you post the part number here on the board for the rest of us who are interested.

I'll try to post them tonight when I get home. Sent them to Greg B. last night. You'll need the grill and a retaining strap (?). I'll also include the P/N's for the Gulf States front bumper and inner fender liners. Basically the factory version of a trimmed stock bumper. Gives better appoach angle.

Don't know what happened. I went home Friday night and thought I posted the P/N's. Now it's Monday morning and I don't see them. Sorry! I'll post them again tonight.

Here are the part numbers I got from Greg Davis last week:

The P/N you're after is DHB102660LML -Grill & DAU100000-Strap-Retaining (those are zeroes, not "O's"). Both of these are for the Gulf States parts and evidentally the strap is required.

Jonathan Prowse at the Gear Shop in UK has sent pricing and has always responded to any e-mail requestions.

My local dealer on the other hand just can't seem to find a way to do this, even with a part number in hand. Not unlike my earlier request for a price on the shop manauls for my DII.

NORTH AMERICAN DEALERS CAN NOT ORDER THE PARTS AS THEY ARE NOT NORTH AMERICAN PART #'S

Hey would you happen to have the part number for the saudi grill that fits a Disco SI?

Manrico, sorry, but I only have a DSII book. Thanks, Greg. I've been under the weather lately and forgot to post them last night. Thanks for posting them for me.

Following are the part numbers and descriptions for the Gulf States items for the DSII:

Front Grille-DHB102660LML
Strap, Retaining-DAU100000
Front Bumper-DPB104580
Liner, Front Wheelarch (RH)-CLF101820
Liner, Front Wheelarch (LH)-CLF101830

These part numbers were taken directly from my DSII parts book. I have absolutely no idea what they would cost or how to order them. Good luck.
