I have 96 Disco that has been a relatively reliable vehicle. I have the ongoing problem of noisy power door locks that run for about 2 seconds after the doors are locked or unlocked.
Anyone else had the same problem? Any fix other than the $109.00 actuators from the dealer?
Any advice would be appreciated.

I too had this problem - except more serious because I couldn't keep the truck locked at all. The drivers door lock is the "master" that controls the rest - so if you have this problem it means that the linkage or actuator is hanging up on that one lock. My fix was just lubrication and adjustment (mostly lube).

i have the same problem .
if for a couple of days i lock the door with the key and not the remote it then works with the remote.
this is after i had the switches replaced on the driverside door.
