i am trying to find out more information on GKn Overload Hubs. Do you guys know of them and whether they are any good. I have read that they are a torque adjustable hub, with some sort of internal clutch that releases when overloaded. Any coments or information would be interesting.

They work fairly well:
But
1. They cost a fortune
2. They have stopped making them

They are also rather bulky, and require the use of open steel wheels. See this link for some photos of them installed on a Defender...
