frank is yours an sd? are there idle fog lamp wiring harnesses wrapped around the headlight wiring just behind the bulb? if so - and l/r have not changed too much - we could probably figure it out. need more info though

hey steve,it's a 2001 sd. each lightwell has a grey 9 pin connector. the driver side has a two pin connector with a green and blck wire. under each lightwell, off each harness is a connector with 2 wires. it looks like the wiring for factory fogs...not sure

hey frank

this is how i did my 99 s1. if you can do a search i explained it in detail earlier this year.

ANYWAY
l/r used to simply loop the fog lamp wires around the headlamp wires on car without fogs. (ie sd's) follow this color coded wire set back the fire wall. remove dr's knee bolster and relay panel cover to the left of dr's foot. this should give you a good view of what's happening.

the same colour code wires should come thru the firewall into the relay area. there should be one relay station that is empty. coincidentaly the wire codes should match. if so you can proceed.

the wires now leaving the relay station (oh if the relay station was empty simply insert a standard hella fog lamp relay) shoould be a different color code follow these wires to the best or your ability.

on s1 disco's there is a lime green or blue connector that is taped to the right side of the main binacle harness just sorta hanging down. you can usually feel it before you see it. then once the connector is found run it to the switch blank etc etc.

let me know how you do!
best of luck
steve

I used the relay that came with my Hellas and put my own switch in one of the empty slots on my 2000 Sd, I wired the relay so it is negative trigger, now i can use my lights regardless of key postion.
