press the two outer keys down at the same time until the light blinks. then stick the remote up to the homelink and press teh key # you want it at. once the frequency is stored - i think it blinks again at you???? if you are doing more than one remote at the time - you need them all at the same time - otherwise everytime you press the outer keys you wipe out the memory.

ps this is all from memory -so i'm 90% sure it's correct!

You have to hold it for a long time. I had to hold mine for about 90 seconds.
