When driving down the road my disco makes a strange woop woop woop sound coming from the back (I think) It also changes when I let off the gas. It also goes faster as I accelerate, but letting off the gas it stops.

Check to make sure all your lug nuts are on tight!

yeah, I'm serious. As you may already know, at the top of the Y-pipes where they meet the manifolds are gaskets bound by three bolts at each junction. If your bolts resonate loose (chronic problem for lot of us), then the gasket can just disappear. I just noticed that another damn bolt has disappeared from one of my junctions (the other two are tight, so no leaks).
I suggest this as possible cause of your sound, because your woop woop is associated with the gas pedal. I considered my sound to be a sputter heard from around your feet (where the manifolds meet y-pipes) and from the back (exhaust tip).
