Has anyone had a Disco shipped? Say maybe from the West Coast out to the East Coast..
I am just curious to know ball park estimates on what this would cost.

I just shipped a 1965 Series IIA from Georgia to Los Angeles. The BEST price I got was $1050. Some where as high as $1450.

That's door to door open transport with a 7~14 day delivery time. Covered transport was double that. You can save between $100 and $200 if you can drive it to their terminal and pick it up at their terminal on the receiving end.

I contacted 11 different companies. I now know more then I wanted to.

Had one trucked from LA to MD and it was 900 bucks. Cant remember the time frame but it wasnt bad.. We used TnT aut transport..

Kyle, how long ago was that? I couldnt' find anyone (and I called TnT like you suggested) that would go anywhere below $1000. TnT quoted me $1095 and the IIA is lighter then a Discovery.

The reason I ask is because I have noticed West Coast Rovers to be several thousand dollars less than what I see here in the Peach State, GA. With this being the case, it looks like I can buy a Disco and ship it here for less than finding one local!

Have you talked to Bear Valley Land Rover? They are somewhere near Atlanta I think.

I'm sure they are using the higher gas prices this year to justify the increase.

I was under the impression that you brought Ho's Disco back East a while ago. That's why I asked. That is what you refered to, correct?
