My windshield has a set of about 6 diagonal scratch lines (average 5" - 6" long) on the driver's side. They are light scratches, not bothersome but noticeable. Any ideas on what I can use to get them out? It's a 97 Disco. Thanks.

I've done extensive research on this topic, because I have a nice arc on my windshield from some sand that got under the wiper blade.
1) Try "Bon Ami" cleanser. It's a not-scratch abrasive (?). Like Comet, but doesn't scratch, not even fiberglass (so they say). I picked up a container of it at my local supermarket. It was next to the Comet cleanser.
2) Try this glass polisher kit. It's a bottle of cerium oxide and a buffing wheel you attach to your cordless drill. http://www.caswellplating.com/glass.htm
