i have a 96 disco and found out my stepper motor was clogged with crud so i replaced it. my question how do i reset the check engine light?? please adivse...

You can take it to any shop that has an OBD2 scanner (that is, anywhere) and they can reset it for you. Takes less than 5 minutes.
If you are in the Chicago area you can come by my house and I can do it for you (no charge, of course)

If you have a laptop pc, the most cost effective option is the cable and software from obd-2.com. Otherwise, a handheld scanner from an auto parts place will run you in excess of $200.
