What's everybody use? Also, I haven't consulted the Haynes, though I assume it'll be in liters, but how many quarts of oil does the disco use at fluid change? ('96)

Hey Guys,

NGK's Don't spend alot of money, just get the standard copper core plugs. For what it's worth, I put Champion spark plugs in the same class with Quaker State oil.... I wouldn't subject my lawn mower to either...

All-right, another Quaker State hater - that and Fram filters!

the word 'Quaker' and 'hater' should never be used together. kinda like 'Britany Spears' and 'good music.' to many other good oils to be using anyhow. i'm a Havoline man myself.

I had NGKs, I didn't notice any difference and have since replaced them with Champions. Magnecor wires are well worth the money and as far as oil goes I like Royal Purple.

I put Champions in anything American.

I put NGKs in anything slant eyed, my Motorcycles like nothing else.

I put Bosch in anything European.

Then I bought a Rover, a European with and American engine.

I have been confused, but happy ever since.

I installed Bosch Platiums in my 96 Disco. After about 1000 miles a couple cylinders misfired. All the experts said it sounds like sticky valves, but couldn't be positive. I went with my gut and replaced the Bosch with the new Champion Truck plugs. Seems like the truck has a little less power with the champions but no more misfire...w/ (check engine lights on).

I am running Autolite Titanium Plugs ATI64 w/Magnecor 8.5mm racing wires. Truck runs great.

Tried the Bosch but they kept getting Fouled out. Put the autolites in and no problem.

Is it really 6.5 Quarts, those SOB's at "Land Rover Service" JUST told me it was 5 quarts.

Those "Land Rover Certified" guys really don't know SHIT about these trucks do they?!!!???!!

Every time I call and ask something about my 1997 Disco, they ask me if it is Series I or II. My gosh, even I know that Series II is only 1999 or better, and I'm brand new at this Rover stuff.
