i have a 96 disco i've had for about a year and just realized that i have what seems to be two obd ports on the drivers side. one of them is the actual port for the scanner and the other one looks just like it but has a red led on the side of it. does anyone have any ideas??

Man, this seems to be a hot topic here lately. The diagnostic connector is under the steering wheel, immediately to the right of the fuse box cover. Next to the driver's right knee. Not sure what the other thing is that you are referring to.
