I'm looking for some 245/70's in either the BFG or Dunlop rover. I got a quote from discount- $164/tire for the BFG's. A little rich for my blood, where on the net can I go. I've tried tirerack.com and discountdirect. They don't list the 245/70 only 245/75. All I need is a good price, I'm sure discount will match if I can tell them I'll go elsewhere.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Lynden

try the 235/85-16 sizes. they are much cheaper than the 70 or 75 series tires.

I bought 235/85 16 (tall thin Rover look) BFG MTs at my local Wholesale club for $125 mounted and balanced. Can't beat a wholesale club, Mine stocks ATs, but they will special order your tires and carry most major mfrs.

The 235 85's fit stock??? If so that would be pretty cool. Probably gives an extra inch or so of clearance.
Steve- I don't know the ones I was looking at, I want something pretty aggressive. Don't like the look/performance of the XPC's. If the 85's really fit I'll go w/ those. Remember I'm stock.
Thanks.

I know, the problem is that the thing needs new tires by Oct. at the latest and I don't have the $$$ for lift and tires. Am I pretty much stuck paying through the nose?

Pete,
I'd sell them to you but then you'd sue me after they blew out and you crashed. I'm pretty sure they're original and have 50K miles on them at this point. I need some new tires.
