I have done enough damage to the front air dam and fog lights that I am now considering removal of the air dam and relocating the fog light to the top surface of the bumper. Any thoughts on this? Can I simply relocate the fog lights or will I need to purchase new lights? Have been looking at Hella 550 style because I like the rectangular look; it goes better with the front end of a Discovery than the round lights. Also, in Kansas we don't have much need for fog lights. Probably will use them more as extra driving lights. Also, are there replacement end caps for the front bumper for post-air-dam-removal?

When I installed my brush gaurd, I removed the stock fog lights and mounted fogs on the brush guard using the stock wiring.

The stock fogs are designed/shaped to fit in the airdam, so they aren't practical to use anywhere else. Plus, they stink compared to a decent fog light.

Bill, I removed the air dam off of my RR and sold it on eBay. I was going to sell the fog lights also but decided to keep them and use them on a roof rack (when I buy one that is). They would probably look good on the sides or in the rear. I installed the Hella 4Ks on the stock brush bar (had to make some brackets). I think they look good and are very good lights. I used the stock wires from the fog lights although I should probably upgrade them.

Just a thought...

Good luck
