I own a 96 Disco, and when I roll down my passenger window (electric) it makes a sharp and loud pop noise as starts to come down. Does anyone have any idea what's causing that? It goes up and down fine, except for that noise. My driver side window doesn't do that, its quite all the way down.

Regulator is going bad - it will need to be replaced soon before it stops working at all (I've had two of mine done)

Take your truck in as soon as possible. My windows were doing the same thing, until one ceased working. LR fixed it under my warranty ('96) but I don't know if you'll have the same luck. It's a fairly simple job if you do it yourself also, just remove the door panel and it's self evident what needs to be done.
