I own a 2000 Disco II, and i am beginning to modify it. I was wondering if the stock front springs would be able to carry the weight of the ARB bumper? Will putting the bumper void the warrenty? If i do need to put heavy duty springs for the bumper what do you guys recommend? (I will be putting on a winch later on in the trucks life when i really start to go hardcore!!!) Thanks for help!!

I can't really answer your questions but, for voiding the warrenty call the dealer that you have it serviced at and ask them if it will. Since they would be doing the warrenty work they would be most likely the ones that would be making that call.

Most dealers are pretty 'aware' of mods like bumpers and stuff. In fact most will install the bumper for you. Voiding the warranty is a dealer decision, however they can only void parts of the warranty which include the actual bumper, or the affected area. The 'entire' warranty is not voided.
As for springs, LR does carry HD springs which they use with their stock winch mounting. I would recommend OME shocks and springs.
Obviously the more work you pay the dealer to do, the more apt they'll be to remain soft on issues like warranty and stuff. But it's your call.

I had an ARB Bullbar put on my 1996 Disco. The reccomendation is that once you decide to put the winch on it would be a good time to upgrade otherwise it is not neccesary.
I actually thought it handled a little better with the weight.
The only thing I imagine it would void on the warranty is the airbags which would then really be the responsibility of ARB and whomever installed the bumper.

Hey Chris,
I put a winch and arb bumper on about 1 month ago, i put new springs and shocks on last night. it will definitely bring the front end down, i put hd ome all around. levels the vehicle and gives about 2 inches of lift, without really effecting ride quality. I dealt with John at expedtion exchange, great price, he'll answer any questions....

I have an arb bar on my disco 2. I have since then removed my OME lift and still have on my 265-75 bfg mt's. I haven't seen any problems. But before i put my winch i will most surely need to put some rte springs on.
