In a couple of weeks, I am taking my 2000 Disco II in for a checkup or tuneup or whatever. I have posted a couple of problems I have (sun roof rattle, key fob falling apart, some shaking of wheels at low speeds) here and received helpful replies. So here is the question for you veteran LR owners: What should I request or ask them to look for that might not be in the mind of a below-average truck owner (me)? One suggestion made earlier was to have the sun roof gaskets lubricated. Any others?

Thanks to all for the many helpful replies, past and future.

Personally, I wouldn't ask them to check on anything that I didn't have a legitimate concern with. They will go down their list of items to be covered on the service call, along with any that you request. They will also look at issues that are covered on current service bulletins. If you have noticed anything that appears to need adjustment or that you feel is not functioning properly, certainly call that to their attention. As you probably already know, a lot has to do with the dealership, but also your relationship with the Service Manager.

Good luck.

Bud
