Hi everyone,

I run a TDI300 Disco I with OME HD front and MD rear.

I will soon get a front arb bumper (no winch) and a rear arb (kaymar) bumper also.

The thing is, with both of these at each end, i will loose a part of my lift... baad !

As I am a bit far away from everything, I can't afford to change my springs again...

Therefore my question is about spring spacers.

To compensate for the little drop from the bumpers and to get a little more lift, I am considering to add 10, 15 or 20 mm spacers I don't know yet.

Does anyone have a good source for that kind of stuff.

I heard OME made polyurethane spring spacers. Any info or better = picture of these ?

Thank you again to all of you on this board.

Regards from New Caledonia.

Erik.

Erik,

John and RoverTym.com sells metal (aluminum?) ones. You can also check out ExpeditionExchange.com and post a message to those guys. They carry OME and may have some experience with thier spacers.

A mate of mine makes them up himself out out two inch tube on the rear you put the spacer under shock as well and on the front it is a one piece unit i dont have photo but is easy when you see it done i have two inch lift with stock springs

Eric,

I made some spacers out of a 4" diameter alum round stock. Basically I sliced them in 1.5" thickness, then drilled the two holes. The stock spring retainers sit on top of these and you'll need longer bolts. The stock bolts will be two short if you use spacers. I used a portable band saw to cut my "slices".

Another cheap approach.

Thank you all for your suggestions.

Tom : I will check with them. Thanks.

Kev : I can not manage to see how your spacers are made... maybe a photo pleeaase ? 2" tube...

Ali : I was thinking of doing it your way for the back, but for the front, the shock is bolted to the axle trought the lower spring seat. Therefore you have to drill two holes for the bolts in the spacer (I follow you here) but a big one also in the middle to allow the shock to bolt on the axle bracket... or maybe you have a better solution.

Thank you again for your feedback.

Regards.

Erik.
