My anti-lock indicator keeps coming on randomly after it initially goes off when I start moving. Just finished 45K on my 97 Disco. Any preliminary diagnoses on what might be happening? My brakes were recently checked as OK. Thanks.

you can read blink codes from the light that will tell you what the problem is. diagnostic connector location is posted in a nearly-simultaneous post of mine. search the archives for a thread about two weeks ago with more info. also go to www.spanishtrailrovers.com and in their technical section they tell how to do it for a Range Rover and list some of the codes, which I believe are the same for the disco. good luck.

I don't think you can extract ABS codes from 96 or newer w/o testbook.

Same thing happened to my wife's 95 Discovery about 2 and half years ago.
The mechanic at the dealer told me driver's side sensor needs to be replaced. After replacing driver side sensor, problem fixed.

You probably have a ABS sensor backing out of it's hole in the hub. It happens ALL the time - POS design. Look at all four - if you see more of one then the others, TAP it back in (don't hit it too hard). If you had access to a TestBook, you would be getting a "ABS GAP ERROR".

Yes, you only have access to ABS info with the LR TestBook, although the data line is in the OBD-II connector.
