Anyone had any bad experiences with the "Manik" bars on a Disco 1 (98) ?

Looking at

...bar in stainless steel to go on the front of my Disco. With a couple of Hella Rallye 4000's (http://www.4by4connection.com/rallye4000.html)

Also looking for a place to get the wheel arch covers (or spats) for a 98 Disco. Any ideas - cheaper than dealer?

Opinions, as always, are appreciated.

Horness.

One problem you may have with that bar is the approach angle - you are likely to scrape it on rocks, dirt berms, etc. Depending on the severity of your off-road driving, this may be an issue. Of course, its better to scrape the bar than to scrape the Disco. I have a stock brush bar on my Disco I (looks the same, if not made by Manik). I scrape along on it all the time. I have reinforced all of the welds on the bar, so it is much stronger than original. Still, I will soon be installing a new front bumper system that has a more aggresive approach angle.

P.S. Looks very nice :)
