Well, I sheared off the lower mounting bolt on my left rear Bilstein shock absorber. Don't know the exact model but it;s yellow with a blue boot. and I only got it a year ago.
Anyone know anything about the Bilstein warranty?
Now that I have a rack, I'm thinking that I might as well raise the D1 a bit so I'm looking for shock and spring recommendations.
Can I just replace the one shock or do I have to do the two rears?
Can I keep these model shocks if I fit lifting springs?
Thanks

http://www.bilstein.com/warranty.html
There is also a phone number listed. Ask for two since they may well be from the same batch and the other one could be defective too

That's a warranty replace for sure. Bilstein stock replacement shocks are weak if you really pound on them, I broke a couple. Their line of racing shocks are much tougher, haven't been able to break those yet.

Thanks, I looked at the link and need to dig up my receipt. I'll post here as things progress.
