I'm new to the coil sprung rover realm, having added a 96 Disco SD to our much loved SIIA 88. Currently, I'm in the process of resolving a number of nagging issues. My question is: If while in high range at highway speeds, diff unlocked, should the T-case lever migrate towards the high range diff locked position? Currently, it migrates about .25-.5 inch. What is the collective wisdom?

My 99 D1 does the same thing. Actually, the diff-lock lever won't stay all the way to the right (unlocked). You can push it there, sort of into a "notch", but then it almost immediately scoots back to the left about 1/2 inch. Doesn't seem to affect anything adversely. :-)
