I am planing on installing a EGTG on Monday but am not sure where to place the senser in the manifold. There is a metal plate would this be suitable if not where should i put it. Please no rude comments.

Proper location for the EGT sensor is as close to the exhaust port as possible. But since almost no one in the US has a 300tdi, we'd just be guessing at what your manifold looks like.
