Nick I think I used 1 1/16. But 1 1/8 6 point would work too.

Ron

PS drain plug is usually the same size as lug nuts

Yes, it's 1 1/8". I originally bought a Craftsman socket to use, and then discovered that there wasn't enough clearance to get a socket-wrench in there between it and the exhaust. So, I took it back and got a combination wrench to use instead. Then, when my toolbox dissappeared.... well... since then I've just used my largest crescent wrench (was trying to get the most for the least when I went replacing, and Sears had a sale on the 3-pack... and you ALWAYS need a good crescent wrench).

Hey Nick,
Thats right 1 1/16, but most people will use a large crecent wrench. If you are carefully and use it correctly you wont damage any threads. The oil of choice depending on the mileage of the vehclie is Catrol GTX 20W50. But this does depend on alot of factors like mileage, climate and what you want to get out of the vehcile.

HEY LARRY,

IT IS 1 1/8 ON THE DRAIN PLUG,1 1/16 WILL NOT FIT BUT A TRUSTY METRIC AMERICAN ADJUSTIBLE WILL DO JUST FINE!
