Has anyone fixed the problem of the fan shutting off that we discussed a few weeks ago? Mine started by shutting off occasionally when in the highest setting. Now it is tough to find a speed at all. I have to toggle the switch quite a bit to make it stay on in all but the second speed. Has anyone found a fix for it? What does the part cost? How do you remove the unit from the center of the dash?

Come on. I cannot believe that none of you have changed your fan speed switch. Am I now the only one with the switch shorting out?

don't put it on "4" or tap the switch when it shuts off...

To replace the switch you are going to have to pull the center of the dash out and replace the control unit at a cost of over $130 for the part which includes the heater/air direction controls!!!!
Haynes has a good description of this job.
