Well I know this is an exhausted subject but I need some help.
Besides my stockers looking mights small with my OME HD lift all around, They are about 60% worn, and with the thought of winter comming up, they will need to be replaced.
My plan is to mount these on my second set of rims, and purchase some light off road/ good in the snow tire ( this is when you all help me out)
I dont want to trim anything on my disco, wanna keep the mudflaps ect...
any help is appreicetd. what about 245/70 ( just looking at tech section tire guide)
thanks....joshua

Dunlop RT 225 75 or 215 85 R16
The latter might require extrememly minimal trimming

I would also consider the BFG AT K/O's in the same size. Extremely pleased with mine - especially in the snow and quieter than the stock Michelin's.

ron, what is minimal in your book?
just the little tab behind, nothing you can see unless you stick you head in the wheel well.
can i keep the mudflps?
Sure, why not?

If you're running OME HD all around, you CAN fit 245 75 without any trimming. I just installed 235 85's on mine (HD front, Extra HD rear) without trimming.

Other Ron,
This is interesting. Did you fully flex your suspension? That is where the problem usually arises as the tire rubs on the back of the fender necessitating the trimming.

I have extensive "back of fender" butchering with my 245/75/16s & OME MD rear setup. I should have all the trimming done just in time to install Ron#1's HDs, and thereby not need all that trimming. That's the way I do things, bass-ackwards...
Ron#1, one more quick question: I suppose your HDs come with the standard Rover lean? I may throw a 10mm packer in there while I'm at it...

Probably a good idea.
