Is it the choke or fan or what? Often when starting early in the a.m. my engine is real loud like the choke is on or something. It also getts loud like that with the A/C on or going up hills I can feel the power difference (lack). is this normal mid day and with a warm engine, it kinda sucks.

it's probably the viscous fan. should come on for a minute or so in the morning, and then whenever your engine compartment gets hot (like climbing hills or running a/c). in most cases should run for a couple minutes then cut off. yes, you'll feel a power loss - that's why all vehicles have viscous (or electric) fans now, instead of the oldies that had the fan engaged all the time. you're probably feeling more power loss from the a/c than the fan
