My two year old son recently 'modified' my '98 Disco. Somehow???? he managed to 'break' the factory fog light switch. I picked up a replacement switch and now I have to install it.

Can anybody tell me which bits I have to take off the console/dash to access the switch?

I am sure that there was a discussion going on here about it, however, I couldn't find it.

Just pull the complete bank of switches forward from the dash, then disconnect the switch from the harness, remove damaged switch from said bank, replace and then reverse the procedure.

dburess - thanks, but i was looking for alittle more.

Like does the cup holder have to come out etc?

Essentially, what are the R&R instructions for the Fog Light Switch. (don't wanna break any plastic)

Chris,

dburress pegged it... that's as detailed as it gets. The switch cluster pulls out, no need to fiddle w/ the cup holder. Unplug/plug kind of job. One banana. 5 minutes, tops.

Thanks again, just as you said, it pulls right out!. Now I have found another problem. apparently previous owner decided to chop off the factory connector.......now I have to fix that!
