I can imagine how happy and excited you are right now!! My career is architectural design. I always think Disco II is one of the best designed pieces in the world!! perfect proportions, clean edges, perfect curves, etc.. Man I love it so much. Congratulations Karen!

KAREN! Congrats! We need a few girlz in here! Welcome to the family. Prepare yourself for inevitable (and sometimes questionable) devotion. Be prepared, too, for a few minor quirks here and there, but don't get discouraged. Disco's arent for everyone, but they are for us ;) Good luck!

Thanks for the congrats and kind words everyone. I thought it was a little silly to post a picture of a Disco just like all the other stock jobbies on the lot, but hey, it's MY Disco (G). "Notices", give me a wave when you see me. Chuanchen, I agree completely, the eye just rolls over one sweeping curve and another when looking at the Disco, though I wasn't sure it WAS Land Rovers you were discussing (G). Definite luv thang though. Steve, I'll let you know when I'm ready to start with the accessories. I need to learn to drive this vehicle properly and then I'll decide exactly what I'll be doing. Randall, I'm constantly the victim of inevitable and sometimes questionable devotion. Oh, did you mean to the truck? LOL! Just teasing, thanks for the welcome, and I'll consider myself warned.

Now you have the best legal drug out there. I am glad to see you said you want to drive it properly first before doing any mods. Stock can do alot so pending how far in the woods you want to go pends on where you start. Thats fun buying toys for our babies.
Randall saw your site you had one bad word in there GRAVEYARD. Man only one way mine is going to a graveyard that is if it gets totaled As long as they make or can find parts I hope my baby out live me.

Karen,
I drive a stock Discovery (1996) and love it. Not into major modifications like some, although I can understand those who go that route. When I'm out on a trail with club members, only rarely do I need to take the easy route a round some rough section. Recently, on one short but steep (estimated about 50%) rocky incline, I almost made it up with my stock tires. Had to back down (not fun) and go around on the less steep (about 40%) route. All in the club agreed it was the tires that made the difference between them making it up that slope and me having to go around.

OMG, that's my Disco overhead! Thanks for the formatting help "here". MTB, yes, I really think I owe it to myself to learn before I drill on or otherwise change this vehicle. Seems goofy to change what I don't even know yet. The learning is fun already, and lord knows, I've got nothing BUT learning ahead of me. 94Rover, congrats in advance on your new Disco! We looked hard at the white and like someone said a while ago, you can't go wrong with white! Bill, tires really must make a big difference because the tire subject is discussed here so often. I decided I'd wear out what I'd already paid for and in that time frame I'd try to learn some things. Tires, Bilsteins, cone filters, I'm trying, LOL! So much to know, so much to consider.....
